Meredith Robb is a designer and creator of unique, hardware-inspired jewellery. Having graduated from NSCAD University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jewellery Design & Metalsmithing, she is currently working as an Artist-in-Residence at Harbourfront Centre's Metal/Jewellery Studio in downtown Toronto.

While attending NSCAD University, she took an immediate interest in jewellery and metal work, enjoying the detail and craftsmanship involved. Her work focuses on the blending of traditional forms and techniques with non-traditional materials. Working mainly with stainless steel washers accented by 18K gold, her work explores the transformation of mundane objects into things of beauty while showcasing the uniform precision of the machine-made against the unique imperfection of the handcrafted. While her most recent work is produced entirely in gold, she continues to incorporate gem and ceramic ball bearings as a way of echoing traditional stone setting, intrigued by the way in which they blur the line between functional industrial objects and things of aesthetic beauty.
